Olatunde Sanu attended the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he obtained his LLB degree. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1993.
He began law practice in the chambers of Bayo Kehinde (SAN) & Co., rising from Counsel-in-Chambers to Head of Chambers – gaining foundational experience in litigation, corporate advisory, and professional ethics.
Thereafter, Mr. Sanu moved into the banking industry, then into the construction industry as Head of Legal and Compliance of a multinational construction company. After this rich cross-sector experience, he returned to private legal practice in 2016.
Determined to ground his practice in rigorous academic and research depth, he enrolled at the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo – Nigeria's first specialized medical sciences university – where he obtained an MSc in Health Law and Policy. He is currently a PhD candidate at the same university, with a research focus on Digital Health Law – examining legal frameworks for telemedicine, artificial intelligence in healthcare, health data governance, and emerging health technologies in Nigeria.
Mr. Sanu also writes the weekly newspaper column "Health Law and Human Dignity," making complex health law issues lucid and accessible to ordinary Nigerians.
